Account Executive - Texas Utilities
Description
We are seeking a high-performing Account Executive to lead growth across our Texas Utilities territory. This strategic role is responsible for developing new customer relationships with investor-owned utilities (IOUs), municipal utilities, electric cooperatives, generation and transmission (G&T) cooperatives, and river and state authorities. Over time, the territory will expand into the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) and Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) markets.

Performance Objectives
- Drive new business across a named Texas utility territory while consistently achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Represent the full Enverus Power portfolio, with an emphasis on:
- Transmission and distribution engineering software
- Power markets and trading solutions
- Load forecasting and renewable energy forecasting
- Lead complex sales opportunities from initial engagement through technical evaluation, security review, legal negotiation, procurement, contracting, and renewal.
- Build trusted executive and technical relationships across engineering, transmission planning, market operations, power supply, finance, and executive leadership.
- Develop strategic account plans that expand Enverus' footprint across utility organizations.
- Partner closely with Product, Solutions Consulting, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership to deliver long-term customer value.
Competitive Candidate Profile
- 5–7+ years of experience selling software, technology, or data solutions into investor-owned utilities, municipal utilities, electric cooperatives, or generation and transmission cooperatives.
- Proven success developing and closing complex utility sales opportunities.
- An established network of relationships across Texas utilities with the credibility to leverage those relationships effectively.
- Deep understanding of ERCOT market structure, utility operations, and industry dynamics.
- Experience navigating complex utility procurement processes, including cybersecurity reviews, competitive solicitations, sole-source justifications, legal negotiations, and board or council approvals.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical decision-makers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly for a utility, an engineering consultancy serving utilities, or within the ERCOT stakeholder process.
- Familiarity with public power and electric cooperative purchasing processes.
- Credibility with both engineering organizations and market-facing business teams.

Salary Range: 90,000 - 110,000 base salary/ 90,000 - 110,000 commission USD
